A few days ago, the essayist Ayman al-Rafati died as a result of an assault on Al-Jalaa Street in northern Gaza.
Since February 2018, he wrote dozens of articles for Al Mayadeen, in which he addressed issues related to the resistance.
The last of these was What did the Israeli army lose in the Al-Aqsa Flood?, written minutes before his death.
His final message was: “I am not a number and I do not consent to my death being a fleeting news item. Also say that I love life, happiness, freedom, the laughter of children, the sea, coffee, Fairouz, everything that is joyful, even if all this disappears in the space of a moment”.
