“This is my will and my last message”.
Journalist Anas al Sharif, 28, one of the best-known reporters for the Al Jazeera television channel in Gaza, had a feeling that every report he sent from the Strip could be his last.
This Sunday night, he died along with five other journalists in a deliberate attack by the Israeli army on the tent in which they lived and worked at the gates of the Al Shifa hospital in Gaza City.
Al Sharif had left a prepared text, a kind of will to be published in the event of his death, his relatives said in a message on his X account.

“If these words reach you, know that Israel has managed to kill me and silence my voice. First of all, may peace, mercy, and the blessings of God be upon you,” begins the letter attributed to him, which is dated April 6, 2025.”
